Did King David really exist? Was Jericho really destroyed by trumpet blasts? In this class we will examine what we know, what we think we know, and what we don't know regarding the history of Ancient Israel. We will look at the origin of the Israelites and trace their history through the biblical period. Wherever possible, we will examine archeological evidence and texts from other civilizations as well as accounts by Josephus in order to inform the biblical narrative. Join us for fun and lots of lively discussions.
